I appreciate Tsing Tao’s hours, fast delivery, and large delivery area. The customer service is good and the time lapse between ordering and delivery is really short. The lunch prices are decent. The food itself is not consistent, sometimes it is better than other times, but for the price, it isn’t a bad choice. If you like soup, try their Won Ton soup; it is usually very good.
Used to be a great place for quick Chinese food. I like the building now, it looks much nicer and cleaner. However, the food is not as good. The yellow rice taste weird like it is made out of plastic. The general tso is okay but nothing too spectacular.
Tsing Tao was one of the best Chinese delivery restaurants in Richmond 10 years ago. Since then it has gradually became just another crappy Chinese joint. The food was probably prepared during the Bush administration, frozen, and then microwaved as needed. Everything ordered is soggy and bland. The egg rolls taste freezer burned. The dine-in soft drinks have been watered down and served in dirty glasses for some time. This is no longer the case now as you only have bottled/canned drinks available. I recommend you save yourself the trouble of dealing with Tsing Tao by purchasing a microwaveable Chinese dinner and putting it through a few microwave-freeze-microwave cycles until it looks soggy enough for your taste.
