I came here on a weekend with a friend and was seated in a weird spot, one foot away from a huge table. I was afraid someone would push their chair back and accidentally bump into one of us (the tables were very close) so we asked to be moved. We ordered three different sushi rolls and they were all fresh and delicious. They may have the best sushi in the area. Other than the weird tables in the front, I was very happy. The waitress was very nice and attentive. I love the atmosphere and also the plum wine. I will be coming back for more sushi very soon.
Food is a unique blend of hispanic and japanese. Overall though, the food and service was subpar. Food was only okand the service was very slow.
Hi excellent place for a drink and some appetizers. But for vegetarians I’ll not recommend for dinner. Appetizers were awesome. The service was also nice. Definitely a place to hang out with friends.
Quite exciting place to dine for great combination of two really great cuisines of the world. You can find uniqueness, neat and family friendly service here. A must visit restaurant for.
If you are going to get a drink with your meal keep in mind they do not have liquor. Beer, wine & saki. Very interesting beer selection. My husband loved the tool ale which had 15% alcohol. Server said it could only be found in a couple other restraunts. We had the dipity roll which was good. I got ginger chicken tacos. They had a very good flavor. My husband had the ahi tacos that were good. Our server was excellent, very informative & helpful! Will be back! Especially for the beer my husband said!
Urban experience. Me and my fianc went for the first time tonight, she’s 6 months pregnant and asked the server about due caffeinated beverages and she was like uhhhh!! Finely decided to stick with water while i sampled the house saki. Me and my better half know the louisville market and have distinct pallets although hers have changed slightly with carrying my unborn child. I ordered the house salad with ginger dressing and got it rather quickly I was impressed it did have fresh greens other than supermarket iceberg. The dressing was not flavorful unlike others and there was no salt or pepper available. The sushi arrived screaming eat me I had spicy tuna roll she had spider roll. Both we shared and with only 6 slices in the spider roll seemed unfortunate. Although the ingredients were fresh they lacked the flavor that I was hoping for for being my first time there. And I asked the server what drinks they offer and she said they had there liquor license but didn’t carry anything but beer wine or saki at the moment hmmm. Night out of the town there! I’m just writing this for the newbies to sushi to most likely avoid this place due to the other place on bards town road named after a Japanese beer. And when you want a great atomosphere with good sushi stay away from here! If you decide to chance it for yourself park close and look for a duplex house cause that’s what it in. So as the old saying goes what you see is what you get. Please write back and let me know your thoughts out there guys! joeBreezy
Went here tonight for the sushi happy hour. Service was TERRIBLE. We waited 45 min for three sushi rolls to come out and was told repeatedly that it would come out soon. Our server barely checked on us. Food was decent but not worth the wait.
