I was not a really good experience. The service was no the best, really slow and I was the only one waiting for order. I order the large size and it was the same than the small one. The taste of the food was good, but really simply, they could do something much better.
Just tried Eat-a-Pita for the first time. It was delicious! I expected a limited menu of pitas but they have salads, kabobs, and more. We ordered hummus, tabouleh, chicken pita gyro style, chicken kabobs, and the fries appetizer. Portions are big. Everything was really flavorful and fresh. Will definitely return. Loved it !
This was a terrific experience and we will be back. My sig other lived in Greece for 2 years. He never likes restaurants. He thought it was GREAT and so did I. Not 100% authentic, but close. A little Americanized, but you gotta make a living! I had the basic gyros, the pasta salad and the Greek salsa. He had a gyros. Meat was fork tender and seasoned well. We can’t wait to go back. We liked the dining area. Staff was very nice. Prices very reasonable. Get over there!
Food is reasonably priced, it’s fresh, tastes good and large portions. We had carry out last night. I had the large greek salad and spouse had the hercules gyro. The vegetables were fresh and plentiful, the gyro was good also. I have two complaints, one minor, the other kind of major. The feta on the salad was a bit on the dry side, but not bad. My biggest complaint is the tzaziki sauce is not made from yogurt, but from sour cream. A gyro should not be served with sour cream. The server told me it was made from sour cream, so I’m sure it’s true. He said his customers prefer it that way, but I don’t think that’s true. When Zaytun was in this space we ate there often and it wasn’t sour cream on the gyros. I’ll be back, but I won’t be ordering anything with tzaziki.
Haha. I just read the post from dishonest. That same thing happened to us! Unbelievable!!! This place is a joke!03 Mar, 2015Very disapointed. We ate there once a week since they opened. Got to go orders often as well. Was overlooking the inconsistancies but kept going back. Enough is enough!!! The last couple visits have been absalutely terrible!!!We used to love Zatun but this place is terrible!!!I tried to talk to them about getting a tiny amount of meat in our hero and they basically said we were full of crap! Will NEVER go back!!!
Dishonest. First time ever writing a negative review. Ordered a dish and asked that any sauce be separated from the main dish itself. What came out was the sauce in a separate bowl and on the main dish. After bringing this to the cooks attention politely, the waitress returned it back to me. Great, until I turned the meat over to see they attempted to wipe it off and flipped it over thinking I would not notice. The waitress said it was their last piece of that type meat. Hmmm. The honest action should have been to offer me a different dish. Other than that the coke had little fizz, rice tasted Like it was pre-packaged from a local grocery and the chicken kabob my girlfriend had was dry. I can accept to a point everything I’ve written here except the dishonesty. There are plenty of eating establishments on bardstown road so you decide if honesty in a business makes a difference to you.
Great place. This is a great place to eat and the the staff is wonderful
