Visited for a weekday breakfast with a friend and was not overly impressed with the food. Service was very friendly and on a weekday, seating is immediate. We both ordered two versions of eggs Benedict and… we’ve had better. My Baha Benedict (their best seller) was tasty and spicy, but the eggs were not poached well at all–almost hard boiled. Same with my friend’s eggs. The potatoes (an upcharge) were also undercooked. Too bad since I’ve heard nothing but great things about this place. But, I’d be willing to try them again.
When you go to a place with your family and you all end up sharing just because everything is amazing…you know it’s a winner. Highland Morning is now our new favorite breakfast joint in Louisville.
My husband and I went Sunday for breakfast. We were told to be prepared to wait as they are always busy, but we were seated immediately. We also had our 8 month old son and the staff and customers were so sweet to him! The food was amazing and we definitely want to go back to try more. Our son ate eggs and made a big mess under his chair. We apologized and left more of a tip for this reason but the waitress was so sweet about it and told us not to even worry. We’ll definitely be back!
We ate at the st Matthews location. The manager here was horrible. They wrote down the wrong number, therefore calling the wrong number for a table. We were told 20 minute wait and have waited over an hour. we even asked to sit seperately and our wish was NOT granted. We were with an elderly person and a diabetic.
Came in today for Sunday Brunch with my boyfriend for the first time. Was quoted a 20 min wait so we stood outside in the shade all to be seated at the bar like maybe 10 mins later! We were waited on by the super nice and super busy bartender! The food was out of this world! This place never lets down! Can’t wait to come back and try out some more of the yummy menu!!!!!
Came here for brunch on a Saturday. They quoted us a wait of 40 minutes, so we went and sat at the coffee shop next door and called us when our table was ready. Easy enough. I had a Bloody Mary, which was AMAZING. I craved another one all day after. Had the full size biscuits & gravy and my friend and I split a side of bacon and potatoes. Everything was amazing. No complaints what-so-ever. Would love to go back again.
I had the French Toast and Grits of the Day(Banana Bread) it was so good.. I can’t wait until next time to try a omelet. The dining area is pretty small but the foods makes up for it
