We were just passing through and we always like to stop at local eateries. We chose Stevens and Stevens deli because their menu sounded like they had a few exotic items. My husband had the Phantom and I’m not one for pastrami or chopped liver, but I tasted it and it was fantastic! My husband used to work as a chef so he is incredibly hard to impress, but he said their tomato basil soup was the best he has ever tasted. All around, a great road trip pit stop!
This place was so good! Plenty of seating, clean, good food and friendly staff. A great variety of sandwiches to chose from and tasty sides.
Lunch out with my daughter. Stevens and Stevens Deli is the perfect lunch spot for a sunny afternoon outing! The food and atmosphere were just right. I haven’t visited in years but now I bet it’ll be a regular lunch stop.
Nice Catering. They have catered for my place of work in the past and food was always very nice.
Portions. Atmosphere great, service great. What is lacking here is very simple: portions vs price. Their pastrami is good, but an internet trip to New York City would give this deli some perspective as to the portions required for a fantastic pastrami sandwich. O course, you have to start off with good pastrami. But piled up good pastrami is what makes the deal unforgettable. Check out the pictures of a real deli sandwich on the Katz Deli webpage. Louisville seems to have a problem wit dishing out great portions of food. You can’t get by with this with a pastrami sandwich from a real deli. Let them know.
