I waited over an hour for my food and there wasn’t a large crowd. In the end they ended up losing our order in the shuffle, so they gave us some vegetables to compensate. Once we did FINALLY receive our sushi it fell apart as soon as I picked it up. I do have to say they didn’t charge us for one of the 2 sushi rolls. But still and overall negative experience
Sushi Lover. I am always satisfied with the quality and service at Wild Ginger .
Super Fresh. Our sashimi was super fresh. They had a really nice presentation with the two special rolls we got. My mom got some kind of pancake appetizer that was so good I almost stole it from her.
Super Sushi!!!. The sushi here is big and bold. We had a bunch of different rolls which all looked super. There was one that was tempura battered and super crispy with cream cheese – so good – but I can’t remember the name. I also had some of my Dad’s noodle dish that was delicious. Our entire family ate for less than me and my boyfriend do at half the places in town. Our wait was short and our server was really nice. We will definitely come back, only next time not with my brother who decided he was going to try and consume everything in the place (haha).
Disappointing, won’t be back. I took business colleagues there on Sunday night, as all sushi places downtown are closed on Sunday. Service was slow. The back kitchen and sushi bar were not working together, as hot meals came out 15-20 minutes before sushi. Tempura was soggy and thick. Sushi was okay. Everything is overpriced. Many better places in Louisville (just maybe not on a Sunday night)
We dined here New Years Eve. Started with the cheese wonton appetizer. Wife had Sichuan Firecracker entree. Daughter had Yaki Soba entree. Both were very good. Ordered sushi too. Fire Scallop and Highlander rolls were excellent! Service was adequate. We will repeat.
I have always appreciated the sushi here and the folks are friendly and aim to please .But the day I watched them chop down all of the large and very healthy street trees on Duker was the day I stopped appreciating this place. Those were mature PuBLiC trees on public property.I will take my green where green matters, sorry.
