The fried green tomato BLT was very good, as was my mint julep. Excellent lunch after hitting Woodford Reserve.
Nice place with very good but not outstanding food. The salmon with bourbon glaze was delicious as was the bread pudding. My daughters shrimp and cheese grits was good and they were very accommodating by modifying the recipe to satisfy her picky likes and dislikes. The sides were generous and tasty.
We went here for lunch. The atmosphere was great…we both loved it. Service was fast and friendly, not surprising because it was empty. I was shocked to see that on a Saturday. My friend got the grilled pimento cheese with bacon and a side of broccoli casserole, both of which she loved. I got the fried green tomato BLT and a side of broccoli casserole. The casserole was good–I’d get it again. The BLT was a disappointment. The lettuce was soggy, the bacon tasted burnt, and the tomatoes were VERY thin and the breading on those was also soggy. All in all I felt vaguely ripped off when I left. I’d probably try Addie’s again and just order something else. There were many other dishes that sounded good, I just wouldn’t recommend the sandwich I had.
Disappointing. Very slow service and bland food. Really wanted to like it, prob won’t be back.
Hidden spot. This is a beautiful restaurant although it is in a slightly hidden area. The owners really need to put up a sign in front saying they have a restaurant. I thought it was just another bed and breakfast until I saw the small easel mentioning a special. Waitstaff was nice, but could have done a little bit better job explaining the specials. The grilled pimento cheese sandwich with bacon was delicious and the desserts are obviously homemade. The butterscotch cream pie was outstanding! Look for this place, it is worth the hunt.
Food was good. We all had the Friday night seafood platter. Me and my wife could’ve split a platter. Atmosphere was relaxing. I will be back.
Great simple breakfast with delicious ham. Hospitable staff and very warm environment. Nice bar decently stocked and very yummy appetizers. Try the fried pimento cheese! It’s wonderful!
