Our party of four really enjoyed our recent lunch at this nice old out of the way Inn. The place was about empty when we arrived so we had the run of the house. Wait staff was friendly and attentive. Iced tea was great. None of us were that thrilled with the lunch entres (sounded boring), so we opted for sandwiches, which were all good. Country ham on the club was delicious and our burgers were prepared to temperature. I’d like to return for a dinner entre.

It started at the hostess stand. Two different parties had the same complaint. They called and made reservations which were lost. One diner made the hostess cry. Way to go big shot! Pimento cheese sticks were decent enough but were more like pimento cheese egg rolls as they were wrapped in egg roll wrappers. The you’re-kidding moment cam with the Tomato basil pasta pasta with chicken added. MAYBE a 4 oz grilled breast was okay (amazing how something as basic as brining can make a chicken product better) Okay – a little basil, maybe a half roma tomato, thin spaghetti, chicken breast and…. well, that was it…. All for $18. Fried chicken breast special was good (one breast, mashed potatoes and grean beans $12.99. Potato soup was average at best. And for the finale !!! It took 65 minutes to get the main course. I wasn’t paying. Wasn’t so bad afterall.
