Best Crawfish if You Can Stand the Wait. In my view, this is the best boiled crawfish anywhere, bar none. Size. Taste. Cleanliness of crawfish. The one issue is the long wait. Unless you arrive at just the right time (which I still don’t know what time that is), you may well be facing a two hour wait. That one issue often discourages me and causes me to go elsewhere. But if you’re willing to risk the wait, the crawfish simply cannot be beat.
Kellie, 4:30 is the absolute worst time to get there. It’s not that the hostess can’t tell time; it takes people long to eat crawfish, and sometimes its hard to determine EXACTLY what time you’ll be sat. It is, after all, subject to the pace of each particular diner. There’s is a list of people waiting and we sit you when your name comes up. It’s old school and well worth the wait! Sorry you had to wait so long.08 Feb, 2012Kyle. The crawfish supply has actually been a bit low this year so Cajun Claws has really only been open on the weekends. Thus, every one goes on one or two nights and it creates quite a frenzy. For those of you who may not know, the bar opens at 4:00, and they start taking names for the evening at that time. Get there early and the wait will not be as bad.
Good crawfish but I’m not understanding what takes so long. We arrived at 4:30 & were told we would have a table by 6:30–it is now 8pm & still no table. Bartenders are drinking behind the bar & the hostess cannot tell time. Pas Bon!
You have to get there early . But either way , you re gonna wait . We got there at 440 and did not take our first bite till 2 hours later Good crawfish but the wait kills it
CindyD.. Arriving at 4:30 in the afternoon to be told you would not be seated until 8pm is ridiculous. There were less than 20 people waiting in the bar at the time, no indication or explanation as to why a 3 1/2 hours was necessary. No matter how good someones food is, it is not worth this. We will not return.
Quite simply crawfish at it’s finest!
Holy cow! The best crawfish I’ve ever put in my mouth. Had we asked the price before we ordered we probably would not have stayed but so glad we did. Ignorance was bliss and we were so content when the bill came that we were more than happy to pay. Well worth the drive and the bill!
