All over the east coast and finally in Louisiana I’ve know one thing, Chick-fil-a. There is no shortage here and that is always a good thing. First I want to point out that Chick-fil-a’s operation wide standard of greetings and humane responses should be taken notice of by other quick service companies. It adds the right touch of professionalism that helps you forget that your at a quick service restaurant and just casual enough to not feel obliged to leave a tip. For this particular location, the pros and cons are bountiful. The pros of this location are what you’ve come to know and love about every chick-fil-a, the hospitality, the fresh quality control, the swiftness to make you feel comfortable and even the mints! This location exceeds some standards in my opinion. The cons of this location aren’t many, however they are large in damage. Awkwardly located at a high traffic stop light, round-about-ish thing, it creates intense traffic woes. Their current workaround is to circle the building with two Drive thru lines. Granted it’s efficient for drive thru, but that’s about it. A con for us is a pro for them. They as a business only profit from the amount of traffic going through the drive through daily, and it also tells a confident story and voucher for their customer relations/food quality. People wouldn’t be lining up for 15 min if they sucked. I don’t feel like this restaurant has a solid operating procedure for overflow of cars. I’ve been to this location at peak hours and off peak hours in order to formulate an objective opinion on them. All times their drive thru is cluttered, some people blatantly ignore the guidance cones. It’s still a good thing to me because I’m always nervous going into any restaurant with 0-low customers. Not because of lines, but because of food control. With high volume orders going through this chain, there’s absolutely a guarantee for you to have a fresh meal, they just go through food too quick to have anything sitting out. Regardless, my only qualm I have is the drive thru line corrupting other patrons paths. I rarely see the parking spots near the front door with cars in them, it would be a disaster waiting to back up. I feel bad for partially immobile or disabled patrons. If they had a solid drive thru plan this store would be a 5/5. With that being said however, don’t let that for one second make you think your undivided attention is out the door. They are always fully staffed and always have enough hands on deck to ensure a proper swift and concise order is taken with ‘their pleasure’. The only thing that bothers me on the inside of the store is for 3 weeks I’ve paid using a credit card because i don’t want to touch the keypad usin debit. For some reason they haven’t wiped those down in the weeks I’ve attended. Makes me wonder about attention to detail, but then I get sucked back into their lovely service right away. A for effort, but in this case you won’t get your ‘a’ back til you fick the drive thru/dine in awkward walks Chick-fil-
Good food but we had to wait for one of the many clerks to notice us. It was also busy and a little chaotic even with the general manager at front counter… Maybe it was just one of those days or the chickens were loose in the hen house. ;o)
Very nice, polite service! Very clean.
Awesome service, food. As with most Chick-fil-As this one is amazing. Besides great food the workers there go the extra mile most of the time to make your visit there one to remember.
Opening soon!. This Chick-fil-A has its grand opening March 18, 2010.
