This restaurant is way overpriced for the food you get. And the lady who runs it can be very rude at times. Some of the food is good, But not worth the money. There is much better places in town to go.
1982 nursing home. Outdated is an understatement. 1980 nursing home with no windows would be a better description. Cream of shrimp soup is milk with frozen baby shrimp on the bottom of the cup. We stopped on our way from Dallas to New Orleans. So disappointed we had to laugh. It’s a place we won’t soon forget.

Over-priced, under-portioned, overrated.
The Cottage is a lovely spot. All of the waitresses were super friendly. Our food was delicious, especially the hot potatoes! It was disappointing, though, that they didn’t have wheat hamburger buns. Only white. 🙁
Love this place!. I have been going to the Cottage since I was in college back in 1998. The service and food has always been great. Love the atmosphere and the wait staff!
