Ordered the 1/2 rack rib plate w/ potatoe casserole, and bbq beans. Ribs were seasoned pretty well, although they were pretty dry. It’s 2p on a Sunday, so I’ll try it again and see if they come out a bit juicier. The BBQ sauce comes with it, in a small cup, and is definitely ketchup based. Almost ketchup with BBQ seasoning added in. The baked BBQ beans were probably of the canned variety. The potato casserole, now, was pretty darn good. I would definitely try it again, especially if you like cheese. The plate comes with a roll, which was another surprise. So all in all, it’s not TX BBQ, but not bad for Louisiana. And, the ribs were actually seasoned well even if they were dry.
Great BBQ. My Mom does not like BBQ but she loves this place. I’ve had a lot of BBQ but a few places really stand out. Eddies is on my short list. Eating anywhere on April Fools day is a hazard but I lucked out discovering this place.BBQ ribs, beef brisket, pork and sides were all done as well as you can ask for and the BBQ sauce is very good without the unfortunate side effect of making it so hot that it’s radioactive. This would be a great place to take a big group because you can feed everybody here- old folks and kids without worrying about temperamental tummies. A+
Good lunch if you are on the road and looking for bbq. Not the best but far from the worst you will ever have. We would go back if we were nearby. Pork and turkey were both good.
10 Nights, 7 Meals, Enough Said. On a previous trip to Alexandia I had eatenat this Eddies, and this trip made me think it was a revamped place, it wasn’t. The barbque turkey is the only meat I had here, and there is a reason why. It was smoky, juicy, (a miracle with turkey breast), tender, and a heaping portion. Lonnie has blade skills that rival those in 4 star rated places, and knows it. He is friendly and polite, working rings around all others there. This place is in one side of a gas station, so don’t expect frills or table service. A buffet style eatery with a few picnic tables, this is all you get. More is not needed. I also tried to turkey po’boy, and this sandwich fills the lid of a tri compartment styrofoamtray, enough for 2 hungry people! There is a choice of 3 sauces, and I opted for the spicy, and found no heat, so do not be afraid. The side include baked beans, loaded with meat chunks, thick and rich sauce, reminds you of picnics past. There is a loaded baked potato casserole, a popular item but I found it on the bland side. The mac and cheese consisted of shells and a processed cheese type sauce, tasting of a major blue box. I did not go there for the sides and neither should you, go for the que!!
Bad. First off that isn’t BBQ it’s pressure cooked meat that you have the option to put sauce on. The sides, other than the fries because it’s hard to screw that up, were greasy and bland. I’ve eaten at the other chain BBQ places and they are better. Sorry Eddie’s I don’t likes da ribs da pulled pork or da brisket
Ok bque. Chunky, not shredded. Unique mustard potato salad, very good. And large portions.
I LIKES DA RIBS!!!. YAY!!!!
