Great Customer Service. Just visited Friday and the cupcakes were delicious! Especially the Southern Pecan. So moist and flavorful. The service is always friendly and welcoming! So glad we have a place like this in Alexandria.
Best in town!. A local shop with awesome flair! I’ve tried most of the cupcakes they offer and have loved each and every one. Every time I go in, everyone is friendly and helpful. They stay busy which is an awesome sign! These ladies obviously put great care into their craft and product. Gotta love the locals!
Not that impressed. I have to say that I’m not that impressed with the cupcakes. I’ve made better in my kitchen and I’m not a professional. All of the cupcakes taste the same to me. I tried the key lime cupcake and thought it would be just that…a key lime flavored cupcake. It had little to no key lime flavor and plain old buttercream as the frosting. The chocolate with peanut butter wasn’t all that either. I really, really LOVE peanut butter and was hoping for something that had a good bit of peanut butter in it. I was disappointed yet again. I do like the cake balls. And when I do go there, that’s all I buy now because that’s all that appeals to me. I’m saddened by this because I really want to like this little bakery.
I really love the cupcakes I’ve gotten here….and I’ve eaten a lot of cupcakes in my life. To me, they are better than NYC’s much hyped Magnolia Bakery. The flavors are varied, creative and very tasty. I brought a dozen home to my family, who all agreed they were the best little cakes ever. Obviously homemade and just incredibly good. Cupcakes are $3 each; for a delightful homemade little cake with beautiful boutique decoration, I don’t think that is unreasonably priced. My one negative–and I’m surprised I haven’t read this in other reviews–is the rather unfriendly service. I have been in probably six times in the last three weeks, and the same clerk is always there…she doesn’t smile at me, make me seem welcome or like a valued customer. I asked for a bag and she told me they were out when I plainly saw a stack of bags behind the counter. This would be the perfect place if I 1. Felt valued as a customer, 2. Felt welcome, like I wasn’t taking up the clerk’s time as she rung up my purchases. All in all, this hasn’t stopped me from repeating my business…the cupcakes are just too good. With a little community outreach and a warmer, customer-based approach, this place could become an Alexandria treasure.
Good cupcakes but nothing special & not a great variety.
Sweetness!. Love this place…it’s fantastic for picking up something special every now and then. A little pricey, but worth it. The cupcakes are delicous and like no other in town. I’ve eaten at Sprinkles in Dallas–recommended by Food Network–and that place doesn’t even compare to LCwBA.
Best Cupcakes!. I’m not a huge fan of cupcakes but ‘Little Cakes with Big Attitude’ definitely won me over! Had the southern pecan and it was absolutely delicious, moist, and perfectly sweet! Enjoyed the environment of the store- so, so cute!!
