I’ve had the shrimp po-boy and it’s my favorite in Alexandria! Seriously love their frozen lasagna that you take home to cook. Sooooo good!! I’ve also ordered their tea sandwiches for parties. All were great but really love the chicken salad!

Great Place, amazing food, homey atmosphere, and wonderful people. My girlfriend and I really wanted to try this restaurant. We’ve heard so many great things about this little place from friends but we were never able to make it for lunch. We finally made it to lunch and were amazed with everything that this little restaurant offered. My girlfriend ordered the seafood gumbo and I ordered the chicken and wild rice. The meal was delicious. We will certainly be returning and bringing others with us.
Poboy? More like a ‘Puhboy’…. Ordered the bacon cheeseburger poboy. I thought it was funny that I couldn’t smell any food being cooked in this (fairly small) place. When I got my ‘poboy’ I knew why. The patty was (I’m not exaggerating) a frozen patty…no seasoning…nothing. It was either defrosted or boiled as it had no trace of being on any grill. The bacon was the ‘ready to eat’ bacon that you heat for 20 seconds in the microwave and the cheese was cold. I will say the bread was just right for a poboy…toasted, but not hard enough to tear your mouth up. Very disappointing. The ‘cooks’ need to take a little bit of pride (and maybe some cooking lessons). I live in Lafayette (by way of Eunice) and this was in no way, shape, or form any kind of Cajun/Louisiana cooking.
Great little lunch place-great casseroles and homemade dishes-frozen fresh. Their soup and meat pies are great. Great sides to buy and keep frozen to add to any meal
Lunch and casseroles. The Main Dish is open for lunch with soups and sandwiches. Their chicken salad is very good. The shrimp soup is also tasty. *Mainly* I love the frozen casseroles and side dishes that you can get for takeout. Very convenient, and they’ll have it heated for you if you give them enough advance notice. They’ll even put it in your own dish if you like. The Cajun Shrimp & Crab casserole is a nice treat.
