Best Chicken Shawarma. I recently had the best chicken shawarma plate I’ve eaten in a long time. I’m glad Kamal’s Kafe caught my eye while driving through Gonzales. This place appears to do a brisk business. A gentleman, who appeared to be the owner, was welcoming and frequently made the rounds checking in on patrons. Waitstaff are professional and efficient. Average, nothing special, yet fully practical interior setting. Your focus should be on the meal, which is very good.

Not All That. I have gone there 3 times so far. I can say that they are over priced, the food is mediocre and on this last visit they refused to honor the Groupon I purchased from them. I will not being going back. If I want to have a $70 meal, I will be smart and blow that money elsewhere.
Great food and great atmosphere. I’ve been here probably 20+ times and always came away feeling good about choosing Kamal’s. Not sure what a previous reviewer was talking about but the owner speaks English and is a warm, outgoing, genuine person who takes the time to greet everyone when he is there.
Absolutely delicious. The service was very warm and the owner was fun, yet professional. Will swing by every chance I come into town.
