While we were getting our hair done at P23 salon in St. Amant, we asked Brooke, our stylist of a place that has some good food around close. She recommended Philays and boy are we glad she did!!!!Just left Philays and we are so impressed with the food and the staff. This was our first time there and can we say we were suprisingly pleased with almost everything we got. We got fried pickles YUMO hush puppies amazing marinated crab claws ( would prefer an olive marinate and warm not cold!). My wrap was the rockefeller oyster wrap ( have NEVER had anything like that anywhere in this area) WONDERFUL!!! My daughter n law had a shrimp casear wrap and you couldnt believe how many shrimp were in this wrap and very very wonderful salad dressing!!!!I am sharing this with others now and please go visit. On top of everything some fine kind person comp’d our meal. WOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW love us some PHILAYS!!!!!!!!!
Excellent food, service and atmosphere. What a pleasure to dine at a restaurant where it’s all about good food. The kitchen will do pretty much anything you ask, everyone helpful. Halfway between Gonzales and Prairieville, it’s worth the drive — check hours — not always open. You may want to cut the salt a little.
Awesome! Great place to eat! Love their seafood. Great salads. Wonderful desserts. Very friendly. Assistance is constant. Your glass never gets empty. Awesome service. This is my favorite place to dine in or out. I am spreading the word of this spectacular restaurant! Great place!
Philay’s one of my favorite. We have eaten at Philay’s several times and always found the food and service to be first rate.I generally eat their fried seafood platter and like it but last time I ordered a grilled seafood platter.It was so good, especially the oysters, that I will never eat a fried platter if I can help it. Theoysters were grilled in a garlic-butter sauce and were outstanding! Do yourself a favor and trythe grilled platter.

Good good, friendly staff, great place to go!!25 Sep, 2013We had lunch there several times this month. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. We decided to try their steak night Wednesday night–my husband LOVED his steak! Philay’s is now our new favorite restaurant!
Some things are great. Some are so-so. I’d recommend it for lunch. Quality and speed of service varies. Tonight it was crap
