Went to The Galvez Seafood Company on January 8, 2016 and it was one of the worst experiences I’ve had. The food quality was horrible. We ordered cheese fries for an appetizer and they were burnt. Then when we ordered our food, my stuffed crab had hair in it! We got the manager to come over and he says that it happens with homemade food! Last time I’ve checked hair wasn’t on the menu! I would not recommend this excuse of a restaurant.

We eat at Galvez Seafood a lot because we live very close. We have had a couple of bad experiences but I think they were just having an off night! The majority of the time we go in there, the food is good and the service is good! All in all a good place to eat!

I got the seafood platter thinking it would be enough for tonight and my lunch for tomorrow at work, got home and saw that it wouldn’t even be enough for me tonight. Thin fish taste horrible, fries were cold and you can tell they used old grease. Will NOT be eating there again.

Meh….. Decided to finally try this spot. All of our food tasted great. Can’t complain about it. However the portions of everything we ordered are measly from the shrimp platter to the crab balls (marble size). Ordered a bowl of crab and brie soup. Didn’t have one piece of crabmeat in the entire bowl. I’d eat here again on a sunday, bc dempseys is closed. Otherwise, I’d drive the 3 miles to airline. Mediocre at best for the prices.

The first tI me I went to Galvez food company it was not that good. going against my judgement I went back for a second time which resulted I never going back. I am a family and I have young kids. I am T sooo mean it was the owner sitting at the bar cursing and complaining about everything. I was not pleased that my children were hearing all of that nonsense. the food was okay but the atmosphere was enough for me not to go back. It seems to not get run properly. I would not recommend this place and will never be bringing my family back.

I’m a Regular for a Reason. The husband and wife team and their managers are conscientious, ethical, and hard working. They set the bar high and strive for excellence, not just with the quality of their food but their staff as well. Some of my favorite dishes: crawfish, crab and brie soup, seafood gumbo, any steak on the menu (ask for surf and turf sauce on the side, it’s to die for), and shrimp and grits. If you are into family dining, sit in the restaurant area, and if you want a Prairieville version of Cheers, sit in the bar area. Either way, it’s a win.
