Very tasty. We ate here on two different occasions. Once for lunch and on a weekend for dinner. Both meals were excellent! Greens were awesome, catfish both times was also excellent. Some beef stew type dish that I had over rice was great. So many tasty items, my picky eater even found something he liked. The weekend meal also had fried oysters, fried and steamed shrimp. All of those were fantastic.
I love to eat here. The food tastes like home cooking and since I eat outore than it eat in, it’s a real treat for me. I don’t know how the are able to serve such quality food at such a reasonable price, but I’m glad they do.

Buffet Style with vegies, etc.. One price gets you the food and drink. We like that. Good choices of meats, vegies, and dessert. All for a fair price.
Definitely Your Granny’s Cooking!. First and foremost, I have to completely disagree with the review below. Granny’s food is magnificent! Now with 3 locations, I can enjoy it without having to drive 20 miles to either Bastrop or WM. I happened to visit the new Granny’s in Monroe for the first time this past Thursday night. Food was amazing! Not too mention, the service was wonderful, as always! I had the same waitress as I always do when I frequently visit the Bastrop location for seafood buffet. She’s such a sweetheart! Bastrop Granny’s has undergone remodeling in the back sunroom like area and it looks wonderful. Can not wait to see what they do with the rest! Don’t like what what’s on the buffet? You can order off the menu. They have the most delicious cheeseburgers in the NELA area! I’m not sure if the they take menu orders in Monroe, doubtful considering that place is huge. Wouldn’t even want to think about that nightmare! But they do definitely take short orders in Bastrop and West Monroe. Overall, I recommend Granny’s Family Restaurant to anyone and everyone, whether you’re in WM, Bastrop, or now Monroe. Food and service is wonderful at all three! FIVE STARS!
