VERY Disappointed! Decided to order from Akasha because of the good reviews I read on several sites and my Partner isn’t a fan of Greek/Lebanese food so I thought GREAT! Best of both worlds! NOT! The burger was ok…. had much better, not the best in town and not a reason to order again… The worst was the gyro platter which was gyro meat, humus, rice and greek salad…. I’m happy to say I ordered extra Feta dressing because that was the ONLY thing that had ANY flavor! EVERYTHING was bland… like they ran out of garlic and spices but still prepared food. The rice, zero flavor, the humus… It reminded me of the nacho cheese out of a can that gets watered down to go further! The thinest, blandest humus I ever tasted! The grecian sauce, was like a yogurt ranch salsa flavored nothingness…. Then it dawned on me, this place caters to late night, often intoxicated people…. everything tastes good when you’ve been drinking for 6 hours! I’ll stick to Atcha for my greek/lebanese and one of the other dozen plus places in Baton Rouge that make a great burger! Don’t say you weren’t warned!!!
A hidden gem! Went here with a colleague for lunch and sure the place is exactly as people have described it to be – a bit uninhabited by the swanky, but the food was great and thats what i care about. The lady at the counter was courteus and the burger was juicy and fries crispy. We also ordered a gyro combo and that was pretty good too.My personal recommendation would be to call in advance and make it to go as there is only 1 table and very few chairs. Will surely go back again.
