  We came to this Applebee’s because we had a gift card. Upon entering they told us it would be a 10 minute wait because they were short on servers. We didn’t mind this, because at least they were honest about being short staffed. So fast forward to our meal experience, I ordered a steak salad and asked if the steak could be medium to medium rare. The server told me she didn’t know what cut of meat it was and that there was no option to put in for how to cook the meat. I thought this was weird since it was a steak salad. When she brought out our appetizers, we asked for silverware, and she said they didn’t have any rolled. Implying that we could not have silverware. So she brought us plasticware instead and we just said OK just bring a silverware when it’s ready. The whole time we were waiting we saw the manager and several other staff members just kind of congregating in the back corner of the restaurant looking at somebody’s phone and chitchatting. I thought it was weird that 1.) the manager wasn’t helping roll silverware, and 2.)they said they were shortstaffed and all of their staff were in the back just hanging out. Our server was friendly, but not very knowledgeable. The manager never came around to speak with us nor did we see him speaking to anyone other than the staff. Our food was mediocre at best. I rated a three because it wasn’t a bad experience, but it really wasn’t a good one either.

  Mobile review My friend an…. Mobile reviewMy friend and I decided to pick up food for dinner and we each called separately within 5 minutes of each other around 6:30 pm. She placed her order and all was fine. I called and was asked to give my credit card info over the phone due to an influx of people calling but never picking up food. I thought that was strange. I picked up my food and was informed that my food had already been paid for and I could go. Not only did I have to pay over the phone (when my friend received different instructions), but i also did not receive a receipt. Now I worry that my personal information is in the wrong hands and I have no proof of payment authorization. I’m HIGHLY dissatisfied with my experience and want others to be aware. I will be calling corporate totomorrow.
