Amazing authentic Mediteranean/Middle Eastern/Indian food and grocery!. This place is a little known secret gem in Baton Rouge. I eat there often. They have a vegetarian lunch plate that tastes so awesome this avowed carnivore has it at least twice a week! Their prices are excellent, the food is fresh, and everyone is super nice!

Great food, Fast & Friendly Service, and Very Good Prices! Highly recommend.. You would never know that this little grocery store has some of the best Chicken Schwarma and Gyros in town. The prices can’t be beat. Staff always nice. Food served quickly. I highly recommend this little hidden Arab Oasis in Baton Rouge with quality food and service! A+

Great Hot Meals & Good Source for Spices!. This is one of my favorite places to get a quick hot meal(best chicken schwarma in town) and buy basmati rice and spices. This is a hidden gem that most people in Baton Rouge don’t know exists. The owner is very nice and helpful, which makes a person feel good about their purchases. The food is great and the prices are fantastic (on prepared food and packaged food). I buy all of my South Asian spices from Barakat.

My family absolutely Loves the deli and market at Barakat. They have the best chicken shwarma and spinach pies we’ve ever had. The market offers items from around the world and we enjoy trying new foods. The owner and staff are the best. We highly recommend Barakat to anyone who likes freshly prepared Greek and Lebanese foods!
