Well, after eating at all of the Indian places in Louisiana, I can safely say that this is the best. Great service, moderate pricing, and most of all–delicious food! The only wish I had is that the buffet would have a couple of dessert items.

Bay Leaf is good Indian food. They are proud of it though (pricey). Al Noor is at least as good but cheaper. Bay Leaf’s modern ambiance is refreshing though and you won’t find that at any other local Indian restaurant. The food is always good and I prefer the menu to the lunch buffet because I’m a carnivore and am not a fan of the vegetarian dishes. But the buffet always has a lot of meat. My favorite thing on the menu is the mixed grill. Yummmmm. Also the chili chicken. Very spicy, but tangy and sweet. Great as an appetizer. The garlic naan is also good. Worth a try at night on a special occasion or for lunch buffet.

Pretty good lunch buffet, we went here because the little hole in the wall down the street and round the corner (C & K) is closed on Mondays. They had a shrimp vindaloo that was make your nose run spicy good. Also a butter chicken option that was very tasty. The place is neat and clean, table cloths and attentive service. Still though C & K is more my speed, but the bay leaf did not disappoint.

I always go for the lunch Buffett. 11.95 includes your drink and the food is always full of flavor and tasty. The wait staff not friendly but attentive. We love to eat here when they have the goat on the bar!

I will give 5/5 for this restaurant. Good food, good price, good ambience and great customer service!!!!! What more a customer needs. I will always have food here whenever I visit Baton Rouge in future.

VERY disappointed in the food for the price. Every dish, even the salad bar, leaves your mouth on fire to the point that you can’t appreciate the flavor!! The staff is very rude. Definitely will go to Curry and Kebab down the street and pass this place up next time!!

We actually like the food here, some items like tandoori chicken and mutton rogan josh are well prepared. But i really hate the treatment given to indian customers. While we were there today not a single person came to check on us throughout the meal. No one cares to ask us what we would like to drink and no one cared that we needed refills while the very next table with americans get elite treatment! This is disheartening to see!The place is overcrowded with tables squeezed into every little unused space in the restaurant but thats just one of the many things that has carried along from home. While this could be baton rouge’s best indian restaurant i truly think that there is a lot of scope for improvement and would love to go back if these issues are addressed.
