Linda and I arrived about 7:30 pm and were seated. The LSU and McNeese game had just started as bad weather set in. First up was the blue cheese chips which I’d never tried before. Crispy, thick. potatochips covered with bleu cheese chunks and dressing sprinkled with green onion. Absolutely delicious. Next was the Caesar salad made with real anchovies. Needed a little extra dressing and they brought a jigger full, perfect. Linda and I both ordered fish Almandine. She got Tilapia and I got salt water fish. The charred edges of the fish were delicious and covered with a mildly sweet sauce and toasted almonds. We split bred pudding for desert. As the rain had us restaurant bound while we waited on the rain to clear, the staff came out and visited with the customers. We met Dustin, the head chef and a grad of the Culinary Instituteand celebrity chef. The weathered cleared at 9 pm and we were gone. Good time, good food. We’ll be back.

Lacking Flavor. I’ve eaten at Byronz several times; on Government and on Perkins. I’ve tried several different items and entrees and aside from the tasty blue cheese chip appetizer, the rest of the food doesn’t have much flavor. On my most recent visit, I tried the roast beef sandwich with carmelized onions. Meh. It lacked seasoning and just didn’t have much taste. I’ve found this to be the case with just about anything I’ve ordered. The food just doesn’t fit the bill.

Sunday brunch…first off the service was good. The blue cheese potato chips were outstanding. It’s down hill from there. Absolutely the worse steak and eggs every. My wife’s shrimp and grits were average at best. Also, don’t bring your kids for bunch planning to eat bacon and eggs…Apparently that is not a request they can fill bc it’s off the menu.

Not sure what all the fuss is about. Perhaps I should go at a different time of day, but I was not impressed with the brunch menu.

Me and my girlfriend came here for dinner one night and out waitress was terrible took only half out drink order and left with out saying anything then came back 10 minutes later to ask if we wanted anything else out food came out late and plates were never cleared off out table. Worst waitress I have ever had in my life. These coupons for my late meal are going in the trash. I am a server I know when servers forget to put food in and she had the audacity to tell me I don’t like when my customers wait this long for food. Lol she should be fired.

Bleu Cheese Chips. Homemade crispy chips topped with creamy bleu cheese sauc=nuff said. Get it!03 Nov, 2014Beacoup Burger. This open-faced burger is amazing when topped with blue cheese crumbles. They cook it to my liking and its done perfectly almost every time. You can really taste the char of the grill and its one of our favorite burgers in BR.03 Nov, 2014Turkey Merci. Tender, pulled turkey w/ gravy over toast is so comforting and tasty. The mashed sweet potatoes and perfectly cooked haricot verts are great accompaniments.

Great food. I really like this place. The service is always great. The menu is pretty diverse. Brunch here is excellent! My personal favorite here is the wasabi seared chicken salad.
