It was our first time at Blend and we loved everything from the service to the wine and food! They were very accommodating. The atmosphere was very nice, and trendy, not the usual restaurant setting.Would highly recommend this place. We will definitely be going back.

I happened to be there that night it that is complete BS. The server was very nice and sweet. Happened to be their first night working and sorry is they dont know everything in one day. You were completely rude. I had a great time at the blend. The food and wine was excellent and the best in baton rouge.

Complete Disappointment. Born and raised in California I am a huge foodie and love good wine. I really wanted to like Blend. But no matter how hard I tried it wasn’t going to happen. Immediately after scanning the wine list I was bummed. I’m always open minded and love being educated on new varietals and enjoy trying new wines. But obviously I prefer (good) new world, California wines because that’s where my palette was developed. Unfortunately, what I learned was that Blend doesn’t care about good wine or educating their staff. What was even more of a joke was the wine list- it didn’t even list the origin/location/appellation etc. of the wine? I continued to be open minded, and asked the bartender. I thought, wow, maybe it’s an interactive menu and they’re all wine sommeliers! I told her that I was looking for a full bodied, new world cab and didn’t see what I was looking for and asked what she recommended. She was a deer in the headlights. At this point I’m ready to walk out. This is what you pay for – the experience, the education, the experience! Why pay a 300% markup on a wine if it’s not hand selected for a reason that you can at least sell to me/explain to me? Out of the entire by the glass list there is nothing impressive or desirable. Period. And the bartenders (even after consulting each other) couldn’t figure out a full bodied new world cab to recommend. Why would you open a wine bar if you clearly know nothing about wine? Or care to because you can’t even educate your staff? When I asked about the lack of origin on the wine list, the bartender responded promptly that all of the wines were from California unless named after the varietal ?!? I’m assuming she meant region like chianti or champagne but I gasped and held back. I saw several wines that I knew weren’t from CA, but the statement alone was beyond ignorant. Wow. I got up and walked out with my fiance and they didn’t say a word. At least we got a good laugh. My visit was a few months back, but I still laugh with my friends from home and hope that this review will ignite someone to take responsibility for this failure and step it up.

Great wine selection, awesome cocktails, and incredible food. My server Jay was attentive and knowledgeable without being overbearing or pretentious. He recommended getting a wine flight since I couldnt decide between a few wines. Finished the night off with a perfect dirty vodka (chopin) martini. Those bartenders know what they’re doing. At one point I saw a cocktail being lit on fire? Not sure what it was but I’ll definitely be coming back to find out!

BY FAR THE WORST PLACE I HAVE EATEN AT IN BATON ROUGE. We arrived at early for our reservations when we arrived they claimed they lost our reservation and made us eat on the couches upstairs. I ordered a hamburger that was by far the worst hamburger I have ever had in my life. I WILL NEVER RETURN!!!
