Food is good to great across the menu. I really enjoy the Gouda Burger! Fried seafood is good. The create your own pasta, although I don’t normally get it others do and I can say the scampi butter sauce makes for a delicious pasta. Also with the pasta be sure to get a to-go box for lunch the next day, it’s an absurd amount of pasta. Gumbo is pretty good. Sweet potato hush puppies are unique, but pretty good.Place has a nice laid back feel, nothing to special just nice feel, relaxing. I took off .5 on the rating because the service can be a little hit or miss. Usually it’s fine, but sometimes a bit slow. Staff is always friendly though.

Food was decent, service was atrocious! Won’t go back on principle alone. Management clearly doesn’t care: hence the lazy servers with no sense of urgency, lack of friendly wait staff, no prebussing or table bussing in general, management scarce, and food taking longer than acceptable to come out. I try not to be negative but it’s just a shame that a restaurant that has such potential falls short bc they do not possess the proper staffing.

Had the broiled seafood platter with stuff potato. Started off with seafood gumbo which was very bland and had little to no salt and spices. Then came the broiled seafood platter which was also very bland including the catfish and shrimp. The only thing that was average was the crab claws but they were very small. The stuff potato was very large but had an unusual taste to it (kinda like soap!) and was cold. Being that it was a seafood platter with a variety of foods you would think something would be good but it’s was pretty bad across the board minus the average tasting small crab claws. I brought these complaints up to the waiter and he went to get the manager. I overheard him telling the manager, her name is Holly, and she immediately told our waiter she heard us giving the complaint. Instead of the manager coming to our table to discuss our issue she literally walked by our table and didn’t even acknowledge us. I thought to myself she must be coming back after she took care of another issue. We waited for 5 mins or so and finally the waiter came back and apologized and offered us a free desert. I said no and left immediately.

Great food. We love the freshly made burgers. They have great salads-big enough to share. Daily specials. Fried fish is a speciality! The gumbo & bisques are to die for.

Good food bad service. I am new to the area and this restaurant is a stones throw from where I am staying so I was hoping for a pleasant experience. Saturday afternoon at 1:45 we arrived, the restaurant was not busy, less than half capacity. The waiter was young, nice and pleasant. I inquired as to the difference between the smoked turkey poboy and the turkey sensation poboy, he said he just started two days ago and really did not know so I opted for the turkey sensation. Thirty minutes later the waiter apologized and informed us the kitchen was backed up due to a large catering order. After being there 45 minutes my brother and I were discussing the idea of walking out and going somewhere else and the food arrived. My turkey sensation turned out to be a wrap, seems like to waiter did not realize it was offered as a poboy and he made a mistake. He was very humble and apologetic asking me how I wanted to handle it, I opted to keep the wrap because I was unwilling to wait for the backed up kitchen to prepare the correct order. No silverware was provided nor any napkins, we requested napkins and they were promptly provided. We both agreed that the food was good no complaints about the quality of the food. I was hungry, this was my first morsel of the day and it,s 2:30 I’m not just hungry I’m famished. it was good but not what I ordered and I left still hungry and yes I had to pay for the wrap I did not want to the tune of $14.26 with a glass of tea. But it was good. Now for the bottom line.Considering the restaurant was not busy obviously the the catering orders must have been more important to the kitchen than the customers sitting on the other side of the wall.A 45 minute wait for a burger and poboy order is excessive IMO.No napkins or silverware in a nice restaurant is unexceptionable IMO. I could easily overlook the napkin issue due to a new kid if the food had arrived in a timely and if I had gotten what I ordered. The food was good the waiter was nice I could easily give this place a thumps up.But I was expected to pay for what seemed an eternal wait, the order was wrong, I left hungry. This experience points to poor management, kitchen priorities are in the wrong place, the young man that waited on us was a good kid but poorly trained, he does not know the menu, and neglected to provide the basics, is that his fault or the fault of his trainer? I suspect if he were properly trained he would not have expected me to pay for his mistake but he really did not know what to do except say how sorry he was.I would not flame this restaurant except for the fact that I had to pay for this experience, and leave hungry. Went for lunch today. Spinach and artichoke dip was good, everything else not so much. Catfish acadiana had greasy catfish that was inedible. Manager came over and blew us off stating he was a chef so it couldn’t be his food being the problem. Manager was very rude and arrogant. Do not recommend this eatery.

Great food. I had the blackened redfish and a cup of crab and lobster bisque..both to die for. Friendly staff also!
