I live Italian food (my grandma is Sicilian), but the dishes here are just ok. I haven’t had a bad experience, but I find the sauces to be light and less rich than the Italian food I love and am used to. I don’t know if it’s open for lunch now, but I have tried to go a couple of times in the past for weekday lunch to find them closed.
Service. My husband and I went to the carrabas in Metairie on Saturday night 3/14/2015. After waiting 45 mins for a table, 45 mins after being seated and ordered still hadn’t gotten our food. Keep getting more and more bread. I asked for the manager and he said kitchen was behind by 30 mins. He proceeded to defend 30 vs 45. I told him that the kitchen wasn’t keep up with the dining area (obviously). After 10 more mins, our food hadn’t arrived and we left. We didn’t get to eat. I will never go back. Terrible service!! I don’t care how good people said food was, they obviously don’t have their act together. Lisa

We used to eat at your restaurant at least four times a month and two times a month we take our daughter and her family there but not anymore since you dropped the MANICOTTI !! Your call but you lost a great customer ;(((. Love your food but really loved the MANICOTTI !!! We miss you !!!
Good service, good food – EXCEPT the minestrone. I met colleagues here last night for a meeting and ordered the brick oven baked cheese with marinara. It was good, although we could have used a couple more slices of ciabatta bread. I also ordered a creamy parmesan side salad, which was a little overdressed. My biggest mistake though was ordering the vegetable minestrone. The vegetables were overcooked, and the soup was so salty I could barely eat it. Vegetables can taste good without adding that much salt! I’m not sure if someone was heavy handed with the shaker that day or if that’s the norm, but I don’t think I’ll order minestrone again to find out.
Very limited menu, mediocre food. Ate at Carraba’s in Daytona Beach, Fl. Earlier today and the lunch menu is so limited (their dinner menu is not available at lunch time. No wonder the place was practically empty) that I could not find much that appealed to me. I finally ordered the meatless spaghetti which is called Tag something and it was the blandest meal I have ever eaten. I also had the sausage and lentil soup which cannot hold a candle to the Olive Garden’s Zuppa Tuscano soup. The Olive Garden also has a far superior spaghetti and you can order from their dinner menu at lunch time. I guess Carraba’s is not aware that older people eat their dinner meal much earlier in the day. They will not see me or my family in their restaurant again. The waitress did not even inquire about the food even though we left most of th soup and half of our meals.
Went to Carrabba’s for 2014 Mothers Day. Waited 30 minutes for table (understandable) Service was extremely slow(also understandable) Waiter seemed to be preoccupied with a table of folks it appeared he obliviously new. After waiting on us he brought the wrong drinks. Later the Waiter brought dirty saucers and the utensils were also dirty. As if that wasn’t enough…..Waiter brought wrong entrees to table and left quickly. A couple of times we called over a young later on the floor (who appeared to be some kind of manager) and she had to correct the mishaps. No apologies from no one …… We will be hard pressed to continue to patronize Carrabba’s in the future.
Had a wonderful meal. Party of6 had a littleProblem getting my selection but the manager more than compensated us for the slight problem. Wonderful meal, service and an owner who went way beyond to correct a slight error . Highly recommend, food delicious, service excellent, management primo! Eat here you won’t regret it.
