Above average. This is a sandwich and salad joint, but some of their weekend brunch options sound amazing. Sadly I went on a Monday afternoon, so brunch wasn’t an option. I rarely order sandwiches in restaurants because I figure I can make them at home, but it was messy and yummy and I don’t regret it. That said, would I go out of my way to order it again? Probably not, but again, sandwiches don’t impress me.I love that they have local soda available. I got to try a praline-flavored Swamp Pop, and it was delicious.
Holy bacon and meat…City Pork has to have the best club sandwich I’ve ever had! The deli has a great, cozy atmosphere and is in a fantastic location right in the middle of the Merchant’s District. This place has filled a void in the Baton Rouge restaurant scene. Great atmosphere, great food. They also do a mean charcuterie board, happy hour and the potato chips…oh the potato chips!!!
This is in my top three favorite moderately priced restaurants in BR. Phenomenal sandwiches and atmosphere – try the Cubano. You won’t regret it.
Maybe it was an off day but our experience was’t good. The Bloody Mary tasted bad, the chips were greasy and sandwich was dry. After hearing and reading so many good things about this place we were disappointed
Delicious!!. Finally went to eat @ City Pork and all I can say is DELICIOUS!The cheek sandwich was possibly the BEST I have ever had. My fianc had the brisket which was divine!The bacon bread pudding is just the most delicious thing EVER! I woke up this morning wanting to have it for breakfast. Steven, the manager on duty and our server Alan were spectacular!! This was truly one of the most excellent dining experiences in Baton Rouge!!
Great Service after screw up. I ordered lunch from them to be delivered to my work. Unfortunately they accidently delivered to the wrong location. About an hour later one of their staff (I forgot his name) showed up with the staff’s lunches. He was extremely nice and apologetic. You could tell he really felt bad about the situation. He gave everyone who ordered a gift card, which I thought was very nice. I just wanted to give the guy who came by LHC a big shout out! You made a bad situation right, which is what any great service employee should do.
Really good! First time here and we will be back!
