There is nothing like the powdery amazingness of a beignet at 2am. It isn’t cafe du monde, but it’s pretty darn close.
A Must Stop. Depending on when you go, the line may be long, but they get people in and out quickly with the best homemade beignets I’ve had. Awesome hot chocolate or cafe au lait, too.
Classic. Great place to drink a cup of coffee, ot two, or more. Free refills. Beignets are the best. Plenty of room and open space.
Stopped for the Beignets. The hot chocolate was defiantly not homemade as one of the reviews said, however that good old swiss miss was comforting and hit the spot. We got the beignets to go. We’d driven through New Orleans but couldn’t bear to spend 2 hours in the hot sun and stiffing humidity to drink HOT coffee and HOT donuts at Cafe Du Monde. This was our second choice and my first beignet experience. In my opinion they were good, doughy and chewy, slightly salty and sweet. Something about fried dough, huh? They come with about a pound of powdered sugar if you get them to go, tell the folks to go light or you will end up (as we did) vacuuming out the car.
AWESOME. I have been here a lot to study. Good atmosphere for students or to just get coffee/hot chocolate or beignets. I have stopped in just for the beignets and coffee before. Great food, great staff.
Best of the best!. Great place for coffee and beignets. They even make beignet fingers. yummy. Hot chocolate is homemade not like the stuff in the packs. staff is friendly, especially Mr. Eddie. he makes us feel comfortable when visiting like we are family. keeps u cracking up laughing. been going here for over 20 years and can’t get enough. big beignets at a small price.
Love it. You can get a big-ass bag of beignet pieces/ends and a cafe au lait for quite cheap, and it gives your insides that warm fuzzy feeling.
