Excellent soul food! Pork chop sandwich to die for! Chicken unbelievably good! It’s in the hood but they are NOT unfriendly – just busy all the time. Don’t let these reviews keep u from enjoying this great soul food! I will say the shrimp needs a little help but everything else is great!
All I have to say is WOW! For the people that said they are racist I beg to differ. Almost 20 people waiting and I was the only white person there. It doesn’t really matter, all people know great food and this is it. I will be back many times!
Went to the chicken shack on acadian.They was not friendly at all.In the middle of me eating ,the chicken was bloody inside.Then when i brought it back and asked for my money back they got an attitude with me.That was my first and last time going there.
Best fried chicken I’ve ever had. Place had a lot of regulars. That’s a good sign of great food. I live in Walker La and will drive all the way over there just for this stuff.
We are headed to BR from south carolina right now and knowing I will be eating some chicken, shrimp poyboys n sweet potato pies soon makes the 10 hr trip ok.
So good! Chicken is perfectly fried and seasoned. Cornbread dressing was delicious too, a little salty but still tasty. The Shack Balls were also good but I found they tastes better cold than hot for some reason. Definitely recommend this place. Prices were also good.
