The service is fine, if slow. We were warmly welcomed when we went in and they gave us free drinks when our order took too long. The food though, is not good. Chicken tacos were unseasoned and dry with what tasted like grated American cheese. The salsa was canned diced tomatoes with some seasoning mixed in, while the tamale sauce tasted like canned chili. I am really confused by the reviews I read saying the food is authentic and delicious. I guess people have a nostalgic soft spot for it, which I understand- tradition, kind of fun decor.
