Back to the Shack. I would never have found this place if I had not come with a former graduate and football star from Southern. He said he used to come here all the time while in school. The folks here seemed to remember him and were just as cordial and friendly as could be.Fried chicken was great as well as the collards. I really liked the ham flavor and a little vinegar to wake them up. My friend had some chitterlings that were a little off though and he lost them later on (no details, thank you very much). Even the waitress mentioned that she was not that fond of them herself. Mr. football had a plate full of wings and never looked up once.Small neighborhood restaurant that one can understand why the students like it with reasonable prices and so close to the university.
