Got food poisoning, went back to see the actual kitchen and restaurant and was disgusted with the lack of sanitation and food safety. Never again. I don’t understand the fascination and loyalty to this place. The pizza is not good nor do they use fresh ingredients.

I would have been better off getting a frozen pizza! I heard people rave about this place for years and finally tried it. Pizza was overpriced, bland sauce, as well as bland and soggy crust. I would recommend going elsewhere if you want a pizza with flavor!

The pizza is decent. $15 for a 3 topping pizza, maybe had 5 pepperonis on the whole pizza. The crust was soggy, the corners were crispy, the sauce was flavorless, and there were minimum toppings. Dont waste your time at this place, Lit pizza is way cheaper and tastier.

Great one of a kind pizza… very cold beer… old school bar is comfortable and laid back. Unless ur a putz, u will find the staff very nice and helpful… a long standing institution in the neighborhood…

Best pizza in town, by far. But if they tell you to pick up your order in an hour, go in at least an hour and 15 because they are always late!!But delicious

We were looking for a good NY style pizza, but since that doesn’t seem to exist in Baton Rouge, we opted for a Roman pie from Fleur de Lis. We ordered in to enjoy the ambiance of this Red Stick staple, but in the future, we’ll call ahead and pick it up to go. The wait is long for your food and there are no appetizers, bread, crackers, etc., so if you’re hungry it will seem even longer. Don’t bark at the waitstaff, though, as our neighboring table did. Visit the jukebox, play pinball, or just enjoy a good old-fashioned conversation with your company. The place is dark and old, and you’ll forget whether it’s sunny or raining outside during your stay in this time warp, but that’s just another part of the fun. Not many staff for the crowd (I counted two waiters for the whole packed place), so be patient and nice. Our waiter was very sweet and attentive. The place only accepts cash (or check), and there is an ATM there. Large pizzas aren’t the jumbo size you’re used to and probably feed no more than two, so order accordingly. And spend the extra $.50 on the side of Romano cheese. The soft, sweet cheese adds a wonderful flavor to the pizza.
