Biggest rip off ever. I just moved downtown and ordered a grilled cheese sandwich, roast beef poboy and chef salad. Grilled cheese – couldn’t even tell if there was cheese in it, roast beef was beef out of a can and chef salad had little chunks of meat (???) and no cheese. the meal was fairly expensive and I’m totally unsatisified…maybe all they really do is the root beer…. mcdonalds is a block away and may be your best bet.
Hands down the best poboys in Baton Rouge. Great service and very friendly people.
Awesome floats!. Got a roast beef po-boy, fries, root beer and a float. The po-boys are good, seeing I’m in BR. The fries were cooked to order. The best thing was the root beer and the float. They make their own root beer, which when poured, creates a foam head. It is fairly sweet and no corporate root beer brand can compare to it, including Abita. Imagine adding soft serve ice cream to it, there’s your float; absolutely delicious.
When we visit BR we always stop here bc they have the best hot sausage poboy. I also love the rootbeer float. You go for the food not atmosphere.
None can beat their shrimp poboy! No one! I’ve tried many restaurants to compare, and Frostop reigns supreme. Their root beer floats are to die for, too.
Why not more popular?. I have friends that live in BR that have never been to this Frostop. While it is not in the best location and looks rundown, don’t let the looks deceive you.I’ve had the burgers and the roast beef poboy here and they were both really good, hot, and fresh. The fries were hot and crisp, and I LOVE the homemade root beer. The root beer alone is worth the trip! I visit most every trip to BR. Show Frostop some love and give it a visit!
Great place! Roast beef poboy is awesome. Hamburgers are also good.
