UGH. What a let down!The doberge cake I ordered for a friend’s birthday (half lemon, half chocolate) was tasteless, aside from a heavy chemical aftertaste in the icing. Virtually NO lemon flavor ( the lemon filling used to be so tart and delicious) and the chocolate was a pale imitation.The staff was friendly, but the cake I sent to my friend? An embarrassing disappointment.
Ashley oozes cool!. We’ve been going to this particular bakery for a while. We live in McComb, MS and have sometimes planned shopping trips around going to Gambino’s. Ashley always recognizes us and is super friendly. We decided this year to order my son’s birthday cake from here instead of using a local bakery. He was very pleased and so were we. That pineapple filling makes the cake so moist and delicious! Can’t wait to sample all the different things. We get something different every time we go.
I loved it.. Wanted to do something special for my wife’s birthday. After asking around for the best place for a cake, word on the street was Gambino’s. Walked in and was greeted by friendly staff. Talked about what I wanted. Staff helped with ideas. Not knowing what I was going to end up with, the staff put me at ease. End result was a fantastic cake that fed over 25 people and everyone loved the cake. I was happy because they did better than what I asked for. Was a very nice experience. I will be back for another surprise. See my cake in the photo section. Wife loves mardi gras. This was my first time ever to walk into Gambino’s.
