Can’t be BBQ. Went there for lunch today and the lack of anything being grilled or smoked should have been a clue I was in the wrong place for REAL BBQ. I got what I thought was going to be a pork bbq sandwich. All it turned out to be was pressed pork shaved from a loaf put on a bun with the worst tasting suppose to be bbq sause on the side. Change the name to Jay’s Sandwhich Shop.One star – *
The food tasted ok and was over priced. I was not impressed.
The food is decent but far from good BBQ that I have tasted from similar restaurants in the area and the portion size leaves a lot for the imagination. I won’t be going back!
Sauce is saving it. Ate here not too long ago. It really wasn’t nothing spectacular. A friend had to send his salad back because he siad it tasted like its been sitting out for a week. I had the brisket poboy, it was alright but thier BBQ sauce made it a lot better. Probably won’t be back though.
I have eaten here for almost 45 years and the quality has remained high. I love the fried okra side dish.
I have been eating here for 25 years, some of the best food I’ve had! Most of the same people still work there today. Family owned & operated…. You’ll always be satisfied & want to come back again & again.
