I’ve always loved joes! But after going eat last night we’ll I’ve had better experiences. My waitress disappeared and never came to check on us. We waited forever for out food. When she got a big table she constantly waited on them, but still did not come check on us! WORST SERVICE EVER!!! FYI: her name is Ashley. (If you get her plz ask for a different server. The food was good although out shrimp were wayyyy over cooked!
Joe’s has gone down hill over the years. Still like some of the food, but the service is just BAD and the food quality has gone down. We watched a girl in slow motion clean our table last night for about 20 minutes while we waited. Food and drinks took forever. I ordered the lobster Cobb salad and the avocados (one of my favorite parts) were missing, and there just wasn’t much to the salad. Slow slow slow. Nobody gets in a hurry.
Awful. Dined here the other night…perhaps putrid could best describe this disaster of a Restuarant….why anyone in Louisiana would choose this place for seafood is beyond me…you’ll have better luck at Red Lobster

Good food, great service, enjoyable experience. Living in Florida, and eating fresh seafood is better! However, when wanting big crab in Baton Rouge, good place to go!
Poor management. We have been to other Joe’s Crab Shacks and have had a good experience but this one had a young manager who does not seem to know what customer service is. We waited for over an hour with other families and the restaurant consistently had empty tables they were not using. The manager was running the hostess seating because he said he fired the hostess. When I took my daughter to the restroom there were staff just hanging out not really doing anything. Needless to say we finally left and ate somewhere else and will not be back unless I hear they have managers who know how to run a business.13 Nov, 2013Poor management. I have been to other Joe’s crab shack’s and the thing I have liked is the family friendly atmosphere. This one does not have that nor do they care if they have business. I went there with my family and was told there would be a wait of around 20 minutes which was fine at first because my husband and I could enjoy hanging out outside while the kids played. After more than 30 minutes I went to check on the seating situation because I counted at least 6 empty tables and walked my daughter to the restrooms past several workers who seemed to be just hanging out while there were several families waiting. I was told by one of the managers that he could not give me an estimate of how long it would be and when I asked about the several empty tables he informed me that he fired his hostess and that is why things were so chaotic. We left and enjoyed our dinner at another restaurant and will not go back unless there is a change in management.
Food was just ok but service was absolutely TERRIBLE!!! No excuse for one hour to bring fried fish! There was not even a crowd. Clear an afternoon if you go…
