Amazing restaurant to try unique food. I ordered the bone marrow as an appetizer and the rabbit as my entree and both were very good. My wife ordered the tuna and it was probably the best I have eaten in some time. I highly recommend Kalurah if you are looking for something different to try. The service was outstanding and waitress was top notch.
Food was unique and flavorful. Great dining experience. We had the duck confit egg rolls, the seared New York Strip, scallops, sensation salad, and the chocolate creme brle with churros. All of it was great.
Will give them time to settle in and hope to upgrade the rating but for now can only go with three and a half rating. Space and vibe is fab. Server was a bit over exuberant, something I am sure will improve with time and comfort level. We tried quite a few dishes across the delish sounding menu but literally none of the dishes were able to wow any of us to 4 or more stars.Calamari, ceviche, oysters. Of these three apps Ceviche the best but not finger licking good. Calamari presentation and delivery in taste was subpar. Oysters had a heavy goo like stuffing instead of a light flavorful treatment.Smoked tomato soup, a salad selection made with red cabbage, orzo and brussel sprouts along with seared tuna and quinoa entrees. All were edible but once again the wow factor was not present in any. If I had to choose, the quinoa and tuna were the best but even the tuna was not that sashimi grade style you look for in that style dish.Pretty pedestrian beer but we are beer aficionados so…..cocktails and wine by the glass seemed ok although we did not venture here this trip. Will certainly return for a date night and report back in. Oh K.
