I don’t like coffee or espresso but I tried a couple of the sweets. The ginger cupcake, the paleo blueberry coconut muffin, and a chocolate chip cookie. All were terrific. I will have to return for lunch sometime. I can’t stand the smell of coffee beans though, so I will have to take it to go, even though the little dining room is adorable (love the chandelier!).

I love Magpie. I am there almost weekly. High quality coffee and fresh, natural, and DELICIOUS food. I had the best grilled cheese of my life here( French onion grilled cheese sandwich!!). But I have to say that the service is not the best. When there is a long line, there is no sense of urgency or concern that people have to wait much longer than necessary. The workers are always very nice and pleasant, but I am often frustrated about the line and the wait. Also, unfortunately, my drink is not consistent. When certain baristas are working, I know my drink will be amazing. But other times it’s just not good. Other than that, Magpie is one of my favorite spots in Baton Rouge. Hope they are here for a long time!

We need more places in Baton Rouge with gluten free options like this. Very tasty.

Waited 2 minutes for the rude girls behind the counter to finish their conversation so they could take my order. Waited another 15 for a cup of coffee.

If you stayed inside magpie long enough, you may forget you are in Baton Rouge. Not much variety on the menu, but what they have is yummy. Good coffee and juice!
