Perfect cuisine, service was less so.. I will start with saying that food was beyond what I expected. Duck Mansur was beautiful and the fish special was well worth every penny. Perfectly cooked. Now, the service was a bit sad. No real attention paid. Had to ask that they light the candle at our table. Waitress appeared almost bored. Disinterested. Not bad just not at all good.Ordered their version of a sazerac. Very watered down. A splash of Scotch, bitters plus water…Food was A+Service B-Drinks D-, this is Louisiana you should nail a sazerac everyday.

Consistent class and quality, with the right touch of personal service. This has become our ‘go-to’ place to celebrate! From front-of-house staff, to the water servers, to the wait staff…you just cannot beat them. The manager’s obviously stresses customer service above all. We dropped in last night around 8 p.m. and did not expect a table soon, but were seated almost immediately. Ian was our server, and he was the consummate host, running through the list of specials with practiced efficiency, as well as answering questions about the regular items as well. Staff made regular rounds, tilling water and beverages frequently, always polite and friendly. We started the meal with an appetizers, the Pepper-Jack Spinach Dip Served with house tortilla chips. The tortilla chips were light and crispy, obviously fresh-made, and the cheesy spinachy mixture was tasty and the right blend of both ingredients and not overly salty. We both ordered the ribeye ‘steak and frites’: one medium-sell, the other well-done. The meat was tender, subtly seasoned, and cooked to order; the frites were golden brown, with just the right texture of crispiness and soft tender interior. A piano player filled the air with gentle sounds, making our experience a soothing and relaxing one. Normally we don’t do dessert, but our waiter’s description of the home-made vanilla ice cream, with caramel sauce, changed our minds. He brought coffee with the dessert, which came topped with a strawberry cunningly sliced so you could spoon off a sliver with each bite of ice cream. I called back about 11 p.m. to discuss our visit with Aaron, a manager, who was very sincere and appreciative of our compliments about his staff and the quality of food served. It is important to let management know the good as well as the not-so-good, but in this case, we had nothing but good to say. Finding a quality establishment, with professional staff, qualified cooks, and an overall atmosphere of relaxation while making you feel welcome and expected…well, that is very hard to find. Mansur’s serves is up every time we visit, which keeps us coming back for more!

Yummmmmm…. If we have guests in town, this is the first place I think to bring them. The food is always great. Atmosphere can be romantic (dining room), private (wine room), or happenin’ in the bar area! When my wife and I are feeling frisky (I mean hungry) and we want a great meal on a whim…Mansur’s bar area here we come!

50/50. The first time I went was exceptional. Charbroiled Oysters were a great app. My wife had the Mardi Gras crab and I the veal, which were both great. The server was on point as well. My second visit, I felt like they took the night off. The waitress was…not great. The oysters that were exceptional the first visit were extremely small and barely a hint of that amazing sauce. My wife again had the crab, smaller and amazingly lacking in seasoning. I went with the recommended duck Mansur. It saddened me. Overcooked and drowning in sauce. One positive, the wine recommended was great. I will give Mansurs another try, but if it turns out to be like the last experience, they’ll get a dislike and a customer that will not give them another visit.

Delicious. Came here to celebrate my engagement with my fianc. My steak was cooked perfectly and the side dishes were delicious. We will definitely be back!

That cream of brie and crabmeat soup is like liquid crack… SO good. Didn’t care for their grits and grillades (too salty), the fried deviled eggs, or their country-fried bacon (that’s right — strips of bacon dipped in batter and deep-fried. Unfortunately all you could taste was the batter.) Best dish is the duck, and soft-shell crab and redfish are safe bets. Chocolate creme brle is great too, when they have it.

Unfortunately, my experience was not at all like some of the other reviews. Maybe because I was there for lunch? Arrived a little late in lunch hour -1:15. Walked in, greeted by no one. Waited 5 minutes, still no one. Went to bar and stood around like a fool, two workers in bar refusing to acknowledge me. Walked into two separate dining rooms. Two waitresses, two bus boys – all looked up, saw me, not busy but didn’t wish to help me either. After a good 10 minutes of just trying to get someone to seat me, I ended up leaving. Service here is apparently not any sort of priority at all.
