Question. I saw a good review in the Advocate this week for this bagel shop so I went by and got a half dozen. Have not tried them yet but does anyone know if these are made like real New York style bagels where they boil them first and then bake?? I asked the girl who took my order but she was a student and didn’t have any idea.
Luv it, Luv it, Luv it!. Great place for the old standard, toasted bagel, cream cheese, lotsa nova lox (salmon), purple/red onion, and fat juicy capers. Just can’t seem to try the others. My wife and Itake breakfast here whenever we are in Baton Rouge for business, except Sunday. I applaud your being closed on Sunday though I find it strange that a bagel place is closed on a Sunday. We were there when it was getting busy. Place was clean, staff attentive and polite and acted as if they wanted to be there (ya’ll know what I mean) My wife had a bagel with pecan cream cheese, a little sweet for me but it was still tasty. I wish you guys would open up in the Pineville/Alexandria area. Oh and you might try soaking the purple/red onion overnight in some cider vinegar. Goes really good!
