If wings are your thing, give these folks a ring, the heat they can also bring, so much your mouth will sting….or sing…..depends on the your yang or ying.More than wings they know, but don’t try to order escargot. That would be a no go.Burger. Check. Fried pickles. What the heck. Breaded mushrooms with Bela Fleck. Salad with that Tribbles episode of Star Trek. Sit up at the bar, have a beer in a jar, not too many or leave your car, tell some corny jokes, hardy har har. Oh yeah, they serve wings.
New spicy bbq sauce. Absolutely disgusting. It’s way too peppery with barely any bbq. It’s basically false advertising. They won’t tell you it’s changed until it comes out or they deliver it to you so just being a Good Samaritan here.
I love Pluckers. The wings, apps, sides, and desserts are all great. My personal favorite wing flavors are Dr. Pepper and Garlic Parmesan, and my wife loves the spicy ranch. Yesterday I tried their 3 new flavors: Mango-Habanero, Spicy Garlic Parmesan, and Ginger Sriracha Peach. I really enjoyed all of them, and the Mango-Habanero packed a serious kick that I personally loved. The sweet potato waffle fries are the best in town, as are the fried pickles, which are spears rather than chips. Their stuffed jalapeos (which are red) are served w/ strawberry chutney and are amazing as well. The fried oreos and fried twinkles are both awesome. Last but not least, their sweet tea served in a mason jar is the best sweet tea in the BR area. The Pluckers Club also offers great rewards (free appetizer on every visit, and $10 each $100 spent) and is definitely worth joining. I agree that on recent visits the service hasn’t been as good — we even stopped going for a period of 6 months or so — but yesterday it was great. My only problem is that my 6-year old son doesn’t eat wings, and doesn’t like anything on their menu, but when we brought in McDonalds for him to eat they told us he couldn’t bring it in. I could understand if it was Cane’s or Popeyes or another chicken joint, but is McDonalds really a competitor?
I will never spend another penny at this restaurant. I have had two separate incidents at this restaurant within the same month. My family and I stopped by after attending the breast cancer race with a party of 19. We were told by the manager that they couldn’t accommodate a party that size. My friends and I have held meetings at this location with if not more people, and we were seated with no problem. On March 23, 2015, I called to place 3 to go orders as I always have. Mines included 2 kids meals along with my order. I was told I couldn’t place a order with kids meals with or without a adult entre. I asked for the manager(Christian), and was told that this restaurant has never accepted kids orders to go with a adult entre. Again, I have order here for years, I have bought lunch for my staff, and attended meetings here. I will never spend another penny here. Customer service or hospitality does not exist.
Manager. So just went to plucker,and me and my husband and friends always go to watch the games,always good service nothing bad to say.but today was just uncalled.so my husband has a Mexico id but got it here and say his birth day and everything.so like always he gets a beer or 2,well the waitress ask for his id sure fine,that’s ur job,well she had to take it to the manager to c it and he said he can’t use it cause it say mexico! Well that is the most crazy thing I ever heard.didn’t want to say anything ok that’s fine.so I just paid what I got to go.and this was always a good spot to go to,but if they don’t want to service us that’s fine.didn’t like the fact that we go all the time and now they want to b like that.
I usually love this place but tonight was the worst.. I go to Pluckers about once or twice a month. Typically the service is good and the people in the restaurant are pleasant but tonight was a completely different experience. We went on a Tuesday night because kids eat and typically it is a slow night. When we got there they didn’t have a wait time and our waiter came over immediately to get our drink orders. We got our food in a timely manner which is typical. Then that is when the night started to go downhill. A customer decided she was going to have a last minute party at the table next to me. It went from nobody sitting next to me to 50 people around me. My waiter was pleasant and I do not blame him but someone should have told her that she could not do that. They took every single table around me, had children running around, a group of people standing around me and the adults were cursing at the children. My problem is someone should have stepped in and explained that is not the way things are handled. Our waiter could not even help us because of the 50 people who were forced into his station. I will go back to pluckers because this was just a rare circumstance but they need to address how to handle large parties.
