Very upset. I went to Rocco’s asked for hot sausage Poboy got bad tasting patty sausage asked for manager to refund or exchange but he said no he didn’t want to lose money I left the whole sandwich on table I will never give my money to them again oh and by the way manager was sitting at bar enjoying his sandwich don’t ever eat here

The roast beef was very good. That being said, I will never go back. The attitude we received from the owner (or son of the owner?) was so patently repulsive, they have lost my business, and that of my circle of friends, for good.

Great Muffuletta. We started with the Alligator Sausage, which was very tasty and had a great spicy mustard type sauce for dipping. I had the ham Muffuletta which had great tasting New Orleans type bread. We had six at our table and everyone was very pleased with their order. The gumbo was very good. Another person liked the red beans and rice. The Bread Pudding was a surprise because of the chocolate chips. We look forward to going back. They have a big lunch crowd. To avoid the crowd go between 2 and 5pm. Noon parking, inside and out, could be a problem.19 Nov, 2014Alligator Sausage. Great tasting sauce.19 Nov, 2014Great Muffuletta. Plenty of meat, sauce, lettuce, tomatoes and all that stuff. What really makes a good Muffuletta for me is the bread and the bread at Rocco’s is great New Orleans bread.

Shrimp Poboy. Pictured with onion strings – a very popular side order (fresh of course)07 Nov, 2014The Big Easy Club. Turkey, ham, roast beef, bacon, melted Swiss, dressed with mayo, lettuce, tomato, and pickle. This is the absolute best sandwich I have ever had. Brown gravy comes on the side. (1/2 poboy)

Real New Orleans. For those of you who miss New Orleans, don’t fret, Rocco’s gets it bread daily from Leidenheimer Bakery(formerly Zip and Reisings), Very good quality, and portions are generous. I eat at Roccos at least twice a week and enjoy it everytime, casual, clean and very friendly. I see the same people eating here every week, that is always a good sign. Try the seafood Muffaletta phenominal.

Great Shrimp Poboy!. Rocco’s has the best shrimp poboy in Baton Rouge. They make it with a cornmeal batter that isn’t too thick. You can actually taste the shrimp. The potato salad is also very good. It’s quite spicy so it’s not suited for the little ones. If I don’t get the shrimp poboy, I usually go for the roast beef poboy which is always great. I’ve never had a bad meal at Rocco’s.
