Absolutely wonderful. They’re chicken schwarma is amazing. The plate comes with so much food. Comes with 2 sides, hummus, pita (white or wheat), salad, that white cucumber dipping stuff and I think that’s it. I always get the rice and fries (yes fried IKR RIGHT!) on the side. So amazing omg wow I’ve never had such amazing Greek/Lebanese food. Normally when I get rice from these places it is so plain so gross, I love rice it’s like my favorite but wow this stuff is so authentic like basmati rice. wonderful rice.

Overpriced won’t assist customer with request. Attempted to order open face normal gyro to go- as is considered a normal gyro in chicago. Said had to be wrapped, which is because they put no meat on it. In the big city of Chicago you can acquire a gyro for $575, fries $179, 129 for coke. With lots of meat, here at Romans they charge you $11 for gyro and fries ( give u no fries), plus 275 for a small drink. This place is a big rip off and will be out of business soon.

Best place. Pulling up a list of possible dinner spots, I was pleased to see that this Mediterranean restaurant was just 400 feet from our hotel. We walked over and were warmly greeted and seated. As many other reviewers have said, we had a wheat bread with za’atar and oil to start. It was steaming hot-yum!We started with the (dolmas), and each had the gyro platter. It came with a salad, hummus, delicious lebnah, and LOTS of gyro meat. Yes, we took half the meat and half the bread back with us for our lunch tomorrow. The restaurant was attractive, casual, and friendly. All this for under $30; it’s a great deal and an amazing and unexpected pleasure. It’s authentic Middle Eastern and Greek food.

Worst Experience ever!!. This is going to be the first time i am writing against ‘Anything’ ever. I cannot explain how humiliating i felt today at Roman’s on Perkins. We often come here and the food is always good. Unfortunately since last two times we have been getting the same person to serve us who is not only rude but also have no respect for customers. Don’t know his name but i guess he wears glasses. The first time with him was still fine…we somehow managed to let go his attitude problem. This time he entirely ruined our new year’s eve. My husband and i came in for dinner and here he comes…We asked him if the sandwich we ordered comes with one side or two and he says one so we asked for hummus. he brings us bread and salad. We asked him about salad and he says it comes with it…okay…(i’m pregnant and i am told to avoid eating feta cheese) i ask this guy nicely that if he can bring me fries instead as i cannot eat feta cheese. He says okay and goes inside the kitchen while we can hear everything he says about us in the kitchen. He went in and said they don’t want the salad (excuse me, we never asked for salad…it was his duty to ask us which other side we would like to have) instead he goes in makes fun of us in the kitchen while others laugh. He says how often these guys come here…he said they only have $10 and that’s all…bla bla bla…My husband and i could hear him and i feel he actually wanted us to hear him….he was loud enough!! i am pregnant and was starving at that time but couldn’t take him anymore… we simply walked out…my husband was so mad and we tried our best to stay normal while we walk out so that other customers don’t feel awkward. The other guy who greeted us at the door came after us to ask what happened and because of the anger we couldn’t even tell him how humiliating it was for us…WE WILL NEVER EVER COME AND EAT HERE AGAIN. NO DOUBT THE FOOD IS GOOD BUT THE EXPERIENCE WE HAD WAS THE WORST EVER!!

Meh. Roman’s cafe has awesome lamb gyros, rice, and chicken schwarma. However, the babha ghanoush and the hummus both have the taste and texture of cheap canned bean dip. Also, the grecian sauce is basically just super thick sour cream. So, they always manage to ruin my favorite part of greek/lebanese food: the appettizers. But the entrees are usually really good.

I always find the service fast and friendly. Chicken shawarma plate is amazing!
