My wife recently got elected to the board of the Louisiana Library Association so we were in Baton Rouge for induction. We always like to eat Vietnamese (If you go to Alexandria, La. try Pho U). We decided to try Saigon Noodles. Place was packed for lunch. We got the Vietnamese egg rolls, delicious with traditional flavors, definitely not Chinese, Saigon Quails 3 pcs. cooked in a yummy sweetish sauce, for our main courses I had seafood stir-fried noodles & vegetables that was so good, and my wife had the beef stew w/toasted French bread (don’t expect a thick American style or flavor) she absolutely adored. All in all a great meal with lotsa flavors. Service was okay but the place was packed and the wait staff was doing the best they could and they were still friendly. The restrooms and dining area are a little worn and could use some work but it is clean and the food great. I usually get a banh mi at Vietnamese places but they didn’t have it (that’s a Vietnamese poboy). If you like to cook Asian food as I do, there is an Asian Market only a couple of doors down with a wide selection of products. We have to go back in a month or so, we will be back.

Hands down, this is the best vietnamese food currently in baton rouge.

Great food, address is wrong?. I think Saigon Noodles and Little Saigon are the same place, after owner/name change. The correct address puts them just north of Florida Blvd, on the west side of Sherwood Forest Blvd. Great Viet food! I love their noodle dishes, the Bun Thit Nuong (spelled?). Oh, and their pork and rice dishes are insanely good… I don’t think anybody can pan cook pork like our Vietnamese friends! We are lucky to have authentic stuff with our large Vietnamese population in Baton Rouge and Louisiana in general. Louisiana just has GREAT food all over, you just have to find it! My wife loves the clear noodle seafood soup. Pho is very solid, too! Very healthy but flavorful food in general.

Saigon Noodles is my favorite Vietnamese restaurants in Baton Rouge!!!! It is very chic and modern, and the atmosphere is very nice. My favorite dish is the bun bo hue!!! Love it! Ask for some chili oil to make it extra spicy!! The service is also great too. Looking at the reviews, the phone situation I think it’s a hit and miss. 90% of the time I come, the service is great! Thumbs up! Always coming back

Food good but service is horrible. I witness grandpa an 2 children. They delivered Pho (boiling hot) to the table without drinks. The grandpa had to ask for the drinks 2 times. While the server was behind the counter more focused on her phone than the customers. Avoid this place.

Look elsewhere for Viet food. The service is nonexistent until you try to get their attention. Their workers consists of young teenagers who are always on their phone OR their boyfriends that comes and and just talks to them all the time (I’ve been there about 4 times now and 3 times out of 4, that was the case.) Go to Little Saigon for service operated by family that cooks and serves their customers right, it’s more homestyle compared to this one. The pho over here at Saigon Noodles consists of a ratio of 4:1, noodles to meat, AND the amount of noodles in it are a joke. Avoid if you want quality good food and service.

Every Monday – Friday, Saigon Noodles hosts a 2 for $10 or 2 for $12 deal, which takes place from 2:30 PM – 5 or 5:30 PM, and it’s such a great deal for lunch or an early dinner! The deal works like this: 2 small bowls of pho or bun bo hue for $10 or 2 large bowls for $12, and you can order both! The pho has more of a cinnamon taste which I don’t really like, so I always order the bun bo hue. It’s not spicy like it’s supposed to be, probably for the sake of other customers, but it’s still yummy and you can always add chili or sriracha to it if you’d like. Also, I love the thick noodles they use for the bun bo hue! Reminds me of yaki udon at sushi restaurants. The music at the restaurant is A+ and there’s great customer service with friendly waiters! Overall, the atmosphere and food is great.
