Sammy’s Grill is an excellent choice for lunch or dinner. We came to visit LSU last year and we are back now that my son is a freshman. We will probably come every time we visit! It’s that good. The fried catfish, crawfish boil and muffalata were amazing. The servers we’ve had both times were college students and very friendly. Looking forward to our next visit. heydelhiblog.wordpress.com

Good food, relaxed atmosphere. Wait can get long at peak times. Good boiled crawfish, fried seafood, cold beer. Nothing fancy but consistent good food.

We had been here for Team Dinner & had a wonderful time. We had drinks & food served by a pretty looking staff. She was very attentive towards our orders & suggesting the best menu’s for all. We had tried Fried Veggies, Homemade Fried Cheese, Cheeseburger, Hot Boiled Jumbo Shrimp. Everyone enjoyed the food specially JUMBO SHRIMPS (Specialty of Sammy’s). It was overcrowded which is expected being one of the best in Highlands. It was my first visit & would love to visit again in my next trip to Highlands, Baton Rouge.

We went there last week and for the last time, the shrimp weren’t properly deveined. Of course, they offered a free meal AFTER THE FACT, but enough is enough.

Me and my wife love this place. The food is good, service excellent and we’ve never had to wait for a table. Their gumbos are really delicious and so are all their appetizers. Big fan of the milk chocolate cheesecake too. All in all, a place id keep going every week unless they close doors or i leave town 🙂

Very disappointing! Had heard from friends good place to eat. But the fried shrimp tasted like the oil it was cooked in was rancid. The stuffed crab tasted like it had been frozen.

Went for lunch after hearing about the good food. Was not impressed. I expected my seafood to be a little spicier. Will give it another try before making final decision.
