An oasis of calm and enjoyment. I needed a quiet place to work for a few hours and decided to try the Strands. It’s small and cozy, very clean, very nicely decorated, with an upscale cafe feel. The women who were working there were all very friendly and helpful. I started with a great cup of coffee and a chocolate croissant. After working a couple hours I decided to have a light lunch with a crab-cake salad which was wonderful, and one of the best crab cakes I’ve ever had. I totally enjoyed my stay and would gladly come again.
Truly decadent!. I LOVE Strands. Very inviting, unique, and a relaxing experience. I had the absolute best cake there once- it was a kahlua flour less chocolate cake with an amazing rich, chocolate ganache- if I am craving cake that is exactly what I want!I cannot wait to try more of their pastries!Unfortunately, the hours are kind of strange- so it is hard to make it there as often as I would like… But sort of good since I spend a lot when I go- but worth every penny!
Great Cafe and Homemade Goodies. Saw this little cafe while I walking around downtown Baton Rouge. I received amazing customer service and the atmosphere is great. The have homemade chocolate treat, which are AMAZING and they even make their own coffee syrups. Onc time here and you will never go back to Starbucks/Community Coffee again.
This place is flippen great!. I went for the first time today and i from my experience i would highly recomend this place. i can’t believe i’ve never been before! i work downtown and i knew it was there but i’ve just never checked it out. well now im so glad i did! everything was great and the people were so incrediblely nice and welcoming!
