First off, the food was great. It was nicely cooked and prepared and the Lobster Roll was superb! The reason for the low rating was the service. I’m sorry that we came on a Saturday as a big crowd of 8 people. The waitress’ attitude was as if she did not want to serve us. It took her a while to get our drink orders because she was popular with other tables. When another 30 minutes passed and we told her we were ready for our orders she ignored us, so we took upon ourselves to write down the order for her. Towards the end, the we kept trying to get her attention but she continued to avoid us. In the end, a bill of $305 ($43 of gratuity from the 18% they charge) was not worth it in my opinion.

Popular. A bit more expensive than it is worth in my opinion. $25 apps and $20 salads are steep.Food good. Nothing remarkable. Rolls can get up there. Why give comp cucumber salad only to serve cucumber salad with the entrees too? Kinda weird.$15 roll. $26 stir fry. $3 up charge for non Miso Soup.Looks to be a fave of gym shorts wearing LSU students. 30 minute on Friday evening about 7.In the area with two other similar spots but no Hibachi here. Would return and choose wisely on the minefield menu of pricey goods.

WTF?? A.K.A. The Waiting Game. Based on all the glowing reviews I wanted to like it……but I didn’t. We were seated quickly, the restaurant was only moderately busy. Then we waited….and waited…..and waited some more. We had to flag down someone to help us, who was not even the server in our section. We finally got drinks. And the we waited……and waited….. Well, by this time I was apparently annoyed enough that we were offered a free beef tataki appetizer. This was good. We ordered or sushi and then we……wait for it…….waited….and waited. Food eventually came out. It was unremarkable for sure. We wanted drink refills but couldn’t take this place another second. Now all I wanted was to pay the bill. We waited…..and waited……and…OK, you get the point by now. I had to get up, go to the hostess and tell her to find our server and give us a bill or we were leaving. After a weak apology and the bill, I paid at the hostess stand and ran for the hills. I hope you fare better if you choose to go here!

Best sushi in Baton Rouge hands down. You will not get any fresher fish anywhere else. The higher price tag is for a reason.

Mr. Oy’s restuarant might be fine dining, but the price says other wise.. I’ve been going here for 5 years and there is no way I’d say it is fine dining.

The best sushi the Red Stick has to offer.
