Got take-out last night. Food was fresh and good, but very spicy. The lemongrass soup was so spicy I couldn’t enjoy it. The tofu pad Thai was delicious, but slightly too spicy for my taste.

This place is amazeballs. And the lunch buffet price is unbelievably cheap for the type of high quality food you can eat.

My favorite restaurant in BR, hands down. I have been going to Thai Pepper ever since it first opened many years ago, and despite changes in ownership and management over the years, it has remained consistently excellent. The lunch buffet is the best bargain/hidden gem in town. There is so much to choose from, and I always leave full and satisfied. I highly recommend it.

Best Thai Anywhere if You ask Me (Philippine influence?). This is my favorite restaurant anywhere. Love love love this place! It’s also my kids’ favorite place now, which is saying something about the general appeal. You can go very authentic or very simple. If you have never eaten any Asian food, start simple with Pad Thai, spring rolls (get the dipping sauce, it is the best!), the lemongrass soup (my favorite), the 3 flavor fish, and the slightly spicy grilled but not grilled chicken… I can’t remember the actual name. It’s not in a sauce but it’s got a nice seasoning spread over it. If you are into Asian food like I am, I don’t need to tell you to try everything. It is all really good. You see them growing herbs in their parking lot gardens, and the flavor and freshness come through. I understand the chef is originally from the Philippines, and I think his special twist on some key ingredients puts this food above other Thai restaurants I’ve tried. And believe me, I try them all! Go to the buffet early and you will be amazed at the freshness and quality of the foods here. The only other Thai place that I can rave about is Rama, as they have their own dishes that can’t be topped. But back to Thai Pepper, the soups are incredible. The beef salad is one of the best things around. Curries are perfect. The vegetarian dishes are great even if you are a meat eater like myself. This place is so good.

Best Thai in town. We eat there a lot. Like, once every other week. One of my favorite restaurants in town. If you go for sit down dinner, it can be a little awkward- quiet, and usually pretty deserted. But at lunch, it’s totally bumping for lunch buffet. Everything is delicious- 3 flavor fish, pad thai, penang curry, thai fried rice, chili pork, basil chicken- are some of my favorites.

Tasty Thai. I went here for my birthday. We moved to BR a little over a year ago and never chose a Thai resturant to try. I ordered the Yom Yum Soup, which is a shrimp lemongrass soup. I asked for medium and they delivered! I ate the Thai Curry, which is essentially Pad Prik Khing (its a red curry based dish that is usually served over green beans), and it was great. Spicy, crunchy and filling. We ordered some Thai tea and it was very good, but I haven’t been to a Thai place who doesn’t make a good one. We were too full to try the dessert. The waitress, who I suppose is the owner, was very friendly and asked us to visit them for the lunch buffet, which I will do one day. When I do, I’ll update this post.
