Get it together folks or go out of business. Geez. From the guy berating our choice of $10 shots to being out of or taking 10 minutes to find one bottle it kind of ruins the mood.Maybe one more shot and if no improvement we are gone baby gone.
Cocktail bar. The bartender, Joey I believe, was awesome. He knew his ingredients and he was really interactive. No need for a menu, just tell him what you like and he’ll put something together that is great. I would definitely recommend going, especially when he’s behind the bar.
The cove is by far one of my favorites in Baton Rouge. They have a great selection of beers from around the world. Anything from IPAs, to Stouts, Wheat beers, and even sweeter drinks like ciders.
Hidden Treasure. I have been eating in that shopping center for years and thought it was some little nothing. Drinking beer at the Bulldog one night and I am told it is nothing compared to the Cove – man were they right! Size of the place is extraordinary and entrance is deceiving!
The Cove is a nice place. The selection is great and the staff is very knowledgeable. One of the best parts is that they don’t blare music so you can actually have conversations.
Cool low key watering hole. The cove is a nice break from the typical bar in Baton Rouge. I tend to frequent the aptly named keg room, with plenty of beers on tap and something new almost every time I go, and I go weekly. Friendly, knowledgeable service and them allowing me to bring in a board game every now and then have made me a regular here.
Good beer spot. Probably the best quality beer selection in Baton Rouge. Not quite as many taps (in number) as a couple of others in town, but no macrobrews to simply take up space. Pretty much everything is good beer. Prices were originally a bit steep, but with recent competition, have become much more reasonable. There is usually a specialty cask brought in from a regional brewery once a month, and the staff is generally knowledgeable.
