I had been to a similar concept spot elsewhere but found The Salad Shop much better. There are many choices – almost to many to chose. You chose from different lettuces and all the topping the add a protein if you wish – all made by a friendly server.
Came to Baton Rouge to meet with my sister. Had my mom with me. Impressed with my salad: the Fruit Fatastico with Romaine. Two issues with this store: music was incredibly loud. Can’t have a conversation. Also, when the guy put the spinach in my bowl and i realized right then that I wanted to substitute it (before he put anything else in it), he made a face and basically let me know with his body language that it pissed him off. I told him that I wasn’t here to ruin his day. I am not a confrontational person. I tip very well everywhere I go. I never give servers a hard time, but this was unacceptable. I will come here again, but not if this guy is working.

It’s clean and inviting, and the staff is pleasant, helpful and eager to please! I had the Avocado BLT with strawberries and eggs. I would’ve taken a pic but after my first taste, I couldn’t stop eating!!
They just opened across the street from my office on Coursey and I am in love!! So nice! They remember me and know what I like! They really take care of me there! Love it!!
Wow!!. I’ve been looking for a good soup and salad place to eat. What a wonderful find. Fresh with great variety for salad and such friendly service…with smiles! Absolutely love it.
